28/07/2010· I am screeding a floor and am trying to work out the quantities of sand and cement required. Screed will be 75mm thick and I will need just over 2m3 of screed. All of the 'recipes' say a 1:4 mix however I would like to order the sand by the meter. Nearest recipe I have found says 1 volume of cement to 3 volumes of sand or 18 bags cement and

3/09/2019· I have read some other posts on this forum that suggest a 4 parts of sand to 1 part on cement for a 50mm floor screed, is the mix the same for thicker screeds? say 85mm. Also is there a formula to work out how much sand would be required? TIA Martin

For example, I recently saw a post somewhere where someone put waterproof membrane below a screed and also above the screed but also used backer rod above the screed.
